The name Dieter Schulz is closely linked with the term "function". In his lecture, which he gave on the occasion of the anniversary symposium of the Bensheimer Arbeitskreis, he works out the development of the Bensheim reconstruction, that takes the natural functional morphology into consideration and consistently leads to a natural and functional reconstruction based on long-term observations and analyses of the natural functional morphology.
